Pierre Berthelot: Devote our work in governance is a timely one year before the campaign for elections MSA. In 2010, the network will be completely changed and will be 35 MSA. We are aware that a new horizon opens. But what changes? What role for elected officials? What a way to work in the boxes at the board of directors, departmental committees, the local level? And in the institution between the cases and the box office? The generalization of the departmental committees – for which we have little experience, because of their recent creation, a few exceptions such as in Marne-Ardennes Meuse or Limousin – we plunge well into a new context. These committees, we’re very clear about their mission and we want them to have an important role elected officials must be in contact with the ground to make up for the needs and live a true democracy among departmental committees and the board administration. .
But if the MSA moves, also move its environment: changes in Social Security, creation of regional health agencies, changes to the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy… So we ask ourselves what all the MSA, its mode of governance is very unique, original, in the field of social protection. Hence our thinking institutionally.
PB: The Committee constituted for the occasion is a reflection of our mutual operation with a mix of skills – and elected directors, technical and political – with finding a balance between the components – paid and unpaid – and the representation all regions, allowing expression of the land. We have not only brought the eyes of a social security agency but have expanded to cooperatives and mutuals, we have sought to enrich the debate. Our procedure is based on a well-functioning mutual, we wish to reaffirm.
